In the piece, he compares Trump with the Vice President. Trump is a bad president, but arguably Pence is much worse for enabling Trump and then pretending to be pious. Will writes that Pence "is the authentic voice of today's lickspittle Republican Party."
And then this: "Trump is what he is, a floundering, inarticulate jumble of gnawing insecurities and not-at-all compensating vanities, which is pathetic. Pence is what he has chosen to be, which is horrifying."
