Disinformation Assault

Politico published an interesting and disturbing piece last week (link here) about how some of the major Democratic candidates who may, if nominated, end up running against Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election are facing a "wide-ranging disinformation campaign ... already underway on social media."

This means someone is trying to knock the strongest potential challengers out of the race so that a weaker one will face Trump and thus better his chances.

So who is doing this and why? The answer is simple, as the article notes: "foreign state actors." And who are they? The answer: Russia, North Korea, and Iran.

Why would America's adversaries want to help Trump? That answer is simple, too. They believe he is a weak, unstable President who is damaging America. They would be happy to see that continue.
