I suspect he's ethnically Italian and Irish, given his tattoos. Based on my personal experience, a mix of those two ethnic groups tends to result in some very good looking men, and he's no exception.

I agree some body hair would be nice, but then again, I am not going to tell this strapping Italian/Irish strapping man what to do. When someone has "traps" and "guns" like that, just enjoy his raw masculinity.
