The FRC actively lobbies against equal rights for LGBT Americans and agressively opposes same-sex marriage, same-sex civil unions, and LGBT adoption. They're also anti-divorce, notwithstanding they'll be honoring a twice-divorced man who's an admitted adulterer.
Richard Cohen, who heads the anti-hate group Southern Poverty Law Center, said "by appearing at the Values Voter Summit, Trump is lending the legitimacy of his office to a hate group that relentlessly demonizes LGBT people and works to deny them of their equal rights. His appearance puts the lie to his campaign promise to be a friend to the LGBT community. Bigotry is not an American value, and the President should speak out against it."
Remember when Trump promised to be LGBT-friendly? Yeah, that was another gigantic lie. He's the opposite of what he promised to be.
