Sometimes when Donald Trump pops out an absolutely ludicrous lie, I find myself asking once again: is he literally insane?

During an interview last week with the far-right website Daily Caller, Trump actually said you need to show an ID to buy breakfast cereal (details here).

Is he insane for believing such a delusional idea?

Or is he insane for believing that people will swallow such obvious lies?
