The Countdown

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is tentatively scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on May 15, which is a week from tomorrow (details here). The subject of his testimony, of course, will be the Mueller Report which details collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia as well as Trump's attempts to obstruct justice.

On Friday, Trump said Mueller should testify before Congress in an open sessions. And yesterday, just two days later, he completely contradicted himself and said Mueller should not testify (details here).

Trump has endlessly claimed -- and falsely -- that the report exonerates him, that it proved their was no collusion nor obstruction of justice. So if that was the case, why wouldn't he want the man who allegedly cleared his name to testify loud and clear?

Hopefully some brave reporter will ask him that before Mueller appears.
