The Biggest Lie of All

Yesterday, the Washington Post ran an article (link here) with a title that says it all: "Russians interacted with at least 14 Trump associates during the campaign and transition."

For more than a year, Donald Trump repeatedly said he personally had no business contacts with Russia and that his campaign had no contacts with Russia. And time after time, with revelation after revelation, the truth became obvious: Trump was up to his neck with Russian involvement in his business and his campaign was regularly colluding with Kremlin insiders.

Hence, his Russian connections turned out to be his biggest lie of all his many lies.

Many of the names linked in the article are not new, but it's good to see the whole picture in one article. With so many staff members quitting and being fired during the campaign, not to mention three different campaign managers, the only constancy were Kremlin emissaries and facilitators.

With the incoming Democratic majority in the House of Representatives in less than a month and much of the world waiting to see when and who Special Counsel Robert Mueller will indict next, it seems like we're in a waiting game right now. Trump's anxiety about this seems to be eating him alive, at least based on the increasingly frantic nature of his Twitter feed.

The next few months could bring all kinds of revelations and upheavals that will make the last two years seem calm in comparison. Stay tuned.
