Devastating

The New York Times published a devastating op-ed yesterday on Donald Trump by Pulizer Prize-winning writer David Leonhardt with the title "All the President’s Lies" (link here). This, of course, is a riff on the famous book and movie title about Richard Nixon's great fall, All the President's Men.

The piece is a scorching assessment of Trump. Leonhardt writes: "the current president of the United States lies. He lies in ways that no American politician ever has before. He has lied about — among many other things — Obama’s birthplace, John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Sept. 11, the Iraq War, ISIS, NATO, military veterans, Mexican immigrants, Muslim immigrants, anti-Semitic attacks, the unemployment rate, the murder rate, the Electoral College, voter fraud and his groping of women."

And then he starts pouring on the heat.

It's not a long piece and I urge you to read it. I don't think I've ever seen a better example of telling truth to power in such a short, succinct, precise manner.

Trump's pervasive dishonesty is so extensive, so well documented, that he can never be believed unless there is objective third-party confirmation.

The President is the boy who cried wolf a thousand times over. This is, once again, why his promises to the LGBT community are less than worthless.

There is only one truth about Trump: he can never be trusted.

  1. AMEN!
With all those «facts» he deserves to be put OUT of his presidency.

He is a disgrace to your country and is making it look like a REAL JOKE and THREAT to PEACE in the entire world.

Thinking of how he will manage with the North Korean crisis makes me have goose bumbs all over my body.

And more to us, Canadian, his budget cuts for the anti-pollution politics, making «clean» coal digging on track again and the cuts on the Great Lakes pollution anti-pollution funding are NON good news.
We will be suffering of those bad decisions because YOUR pollution doesn't stop at our border and NO WALL will stop it.
Our St-Lawrence river is precious to us and even for you because it's a MAIN way to join your economic markets as well asa us.
You need «clean« water too and just see how the latest story about this US town who wanted to take his fresh water from Michigan Lake even if it's far from it. Many were complaining because it's against ruling on the use of those waters.

Far from your main subject of Trumpty-Dupmpty as a liar.
Not that much because a liar will always go around REAL facts to justify his point of view and for that, HE is a champion.

Sorry but you're going to do so much arm to ALL the world with that «clown» in office.
The future is going to be quite BAD and SAD.

  2. Regarding Trump's accusing Obama of wiretapping, I heard Congressman Adam Schiff say on News Hour something like at the very least Trump can't apologize for anything or admit he was wrong and at the very worst the president can't separate fact from fantasy.
