A Priest and a Hypocrite

A stridently anti-LGBT priest in Florida, who established a church to specifically oppose homosexuality, has been removed from the priesthood for sexually harassing young men (details here).

Various young men reported how the priest attempted to share their bed while on church travels, touched and kissed them without permission, and engaged in various possessive, obsessive behaviors directed toward them.

Of course, this is not the first time a vocal homophobe has turned out to have a closeted life of his own. I suspect many if not all of them are envious of LGBT people who are out and proud because they lack the courage to come out themselves.

Any time a man makes headlines for anti-LGBT comments or efforts, I immediately wonder if he's yet another gay man trapped in the closet screaming to get out. And, yes, I'm looking at you, Mister Vice President.
