A Disgraceful Endgame

The National Review is a very pro-Republican magazine and usually pro-Trump, too. Yesterday, however, they published an absolutely withering editorial (link here) with the title "Trump’s Disgraceful Endgame."

The piece pulls no punches: "Almost nothing that the Trump team has alleged has withstood the slightest scrutiny. In particular, it's hard to find much that is remotely true in the President’s Twitter feed these days. It is full of already-debunked claims and crackpot conspiracy theories... "

You'd think Donald Trump would be embarrassed at the way he's been ranting and raving about voter fraud and election rigging without a shred of proof. He looks exactly like what he is — a sore loser.

All his ridiculous "election fraud" lawsuits have been spectacular failures. He's lost more than forty times in court since the election, multiple times over with appeals, and the few times he's won, he's lost when the cases were appealed.

His attempts to get Republican state legislatures to throw the election to him have failed. And his attempts to get Republican state officials to rig election certifications in his favor have failed.

He's trying to rig an election in plain sight whilst ranting and raving with false claims about Democrats rigging the election.

And, sadly, because he's absolutely incapable of feeling shame, most of his rube supporters believe everything he says without any proof. They've even donated more than $150 million which he claims are needed for legal expenses, but if you look at the fine print on his donations page, it's mostly going to his own political action committee, a considerable portion of which will end up in his own wallet.

Fools are easily fooled.
