Major Fail

This week, Donald Trump had a meeting with Nobel laureate Nadia Murad where he managed to be both clueless and callous concurrently (details here). She spoke with great emotion about her family's slaughter and he interjected questions that suggested he has no idea what's going on in that part of the world and also that he wasn't paying attention to what she was saying.

To add insult to injury, the visual dynamics of the encounter were surreal and downright rude on Trump's part. He sat behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office while various refugees stood beside and behind him. He would turn back and forth as they spoke. Who has a conversation like that, particularly with people speaking on such an emotional topic?

I've noticed before that Trump parks himself behind that desk during most Oval Office situations, far more than with another other President. Is he so insecure that he thinks he needs to constantly remind the world only he is allowed to sit at that desk? Does he think it's a throne or something?

The whole situation reminds one, yet again, of how unfit Trump is to be the President of anything, let alone the most powerful nation on earth.
