The Usual Suspects

CNN broke the story yesterday (link here) revealing that Donald Trump's enemy turned friend turned employee turned enemy Steven Bannon circulated research in 2015 that showed extensive links between the now-President and organized crime.

The document showed years of alleged deals between Trump companies and mob figures. As of yet, no one in the media has obtained a copy of the actual report. At the time it was in circulation, Bannon was backing Texas Senator Ted Cruz and opposed to Trump.

This is not the first time Trump has been linked to organized crime. I previously wrote two posts on this blog abut the President's extensive business connections with criminal elements, including fugitives and men now serving prison time. You can find those pieces here and here.

One has to wonder how much Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team of prosecutors, currently conducting the criminal investigation of Trump and his associates, will look into these mob allegations. There's an awful lot of smoke here for there to be no fire.

Stay tuned.
