As anyone with a retaining wall around their yard knows, when interlopers can't go over, they go under. This has happened in the Middle East. This has happened with the existing border wall between the United States and Mexico.
Drug cartels have dug elaborate tunnels under the portion where the wall is the strongest near San Diego. Some of those tunnels were close to two miles long when discovered. And some of them were operating for years before they were found by border control officials.
If Trump's beloved wall is ever built -- which would really be an extension of the already existing wall -- that structure, too, will be breached by tunnels. It is inevitable.
