The highest temperature ever recorded in Europe happened this summer. Many countries, including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and others experienced their highest recorded temperature this summer, too.
It's been Death Valley hot, made all the worse by smothering humidity in many places. At least twenty-one deaths have been caused by this summer's heat waves.
I realized yesterday that the Snowball Idiots in America's Congress have been strangely silent this summer. The Snowball Idiots are those fools who claim climate change is a hoax and refuse to spend any public funds fighting it and refuse to allow businesses to be required to address it.
They earned their name after one of their number, Senator James Inhofe, a Republican from Oklahoma, brought a snowball into the Senate chamber in February to "prove" that climate change did not exist. Their scientific deduction was that, if you could go outside in February on any random day and find some snow, then climate change was a hoax.
So what do the Snowball Idiots have to say about this summer's obscene heat wave in Europe, which has stretched on now for two months? They are strangely silent on the topic.
As is one of their normally loudest climate change denying members, Donald Trump. He always has a lot to say, but on this topic, he's been strangely silent all summer, too.
