He thinks that because people won't be traveling abroad, they'll stay in the United States and spend money (details here). He thinks that will boost the economy. His addled brain doesn't seem to realize that people won't travel domestically either or go out to restaurants or malls or sporting events or concerts or whatever.
And, once again in his remarks, he almost immediately diverts to discussing the stock market as if that's more important than Americans who may sicken and die because of coronavirus. Hey, grandma died in agony from coronavirus, but the Dow has soared!
Yet Trump doesn't also seem to realize the stock market has fallen off a cliff recently. As of yesterday, the plunging market had erased the last two years of gains.
