Too Much and Never Enough

Earlier today I finished reading the family tell-all, written by Donald Trump's niece, a clinical psychologist. The book is Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man by Mary L. Trump, who also happens to be a lesbian.

I definitely recommend reading her book, which provides a psychological profile of her uncle that no other professional could, thanks to her direct, first-hand observations. Like any book I discuss in this blog, I don't recommend buying it. Borrow it from your local library.

She makes patently clear that her uncle has never succeeded in any business venture. His self-perpetuated claim of being self-made is a sham; all his early projects were financed by his father and all of them were big money losers or barely made a small profit. His later projects were financed by institutional investors and banks, and they all either barely broke even or lost substantial sums, thus leading to Trump's six business bankruptcies.

She also makes clear that he's completely unequipped to run anything, let alone run a country. He's incapable of doing the hard work involved and will just lie his way through any situation.

I've read a lot of books about Trump and this one offers the clearest portrait yet of the deeply flawed, corrupt, and morally bankrupt man in the Oval Office. She also reveals considerable detail about the tax fraud perpetuated by the President's father, his siblings, and himself, which almost certainly is something under criminal scrutiny before a New York grand jury and the subject of ongoing litigation.
