Are you one of the lucky people who lives in a state that features voter registration up to and including election day itself? If you live in one of these states, you can still vote next Tuesday even if you aren't yet registered.
Currently, nineteen states and the District of Columbia have what's known as same-day registration: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin.
Requirements vary from state to state. For complete details about what each state requires for same-day registration on election day, click

Donald Trump's capacity to tell outrageous lies seems without limit. That same cravenness has also infected a good number of those under him in the White House.
Take, for instance, the news yesterday that the White House has officially designated Trump's top accomplishment of his presidential term: "ending the Covid-19 pandemic."
An official White House press release crows that Trump "has taken decisive actions to engage scientists and health professionals in academia, industry, and government to understand, treat, and defeat the disease."
This was shamelessly announced on the same way that coronavirus infections in the United States reached an all-time high of more than 81,500 new cases per day.
This is nothing short of outright fraud. This tragic farce must be ended next Tuesday on election day. If you can, don't wait — vote early to fire the liar.

Yesterday, the
Washington Post published a detailed article (link
here) about how Donald Trump has funneled millions of taxpayer dollars into his own pocket for staff and Secret Service costs by visiting his own properties nearly three hundred times since he became President.
On top of that, he's earned a fortune charging taxpayers for lavish costs whenever heads of state and other diplomats have visited his properties whilst he's been in attendance.
Some of the costs Trump has billed the government are both petty and absurd. For a meeting with the Prime Minister of Japan, taxpayers had to pay three dollars each for drinks of water.
Other expenses are lavish, such as charging the Secret Service $17,000 per month to rent a cottage at one of his golf properties, where it usually sits empty except during his weekend visits.
And then there's the millions from his own campaign that he's shoveled into his own pocket by hosting campaign events there and encouraging big-dollar supporters to do the same. Because it has repeatedly been in a cash crunch, Trump's campaign has cancelled TV ads in multiple states, yet he hasn't pared back campaign events that pour money into his own pocket.
Trump is also charging his campaign $40,000 per month to rent office space in Trump Tower in Manhattan, notwithstanding the campaign is barely using the facility, if at all.
Trump has claimed that the various charges involved are at or below cost, but the reality is that they're at or above what nongovernment guests pay.
All of this profiteering underscores some of Trump's biggest lies. He promised when he first ran for President that, if elected, he would "completely isolate" himself from his business. In reality, he has done the opposite.
"If I win, I may never see my property. I may never see these places again," Trump said in 2016. "Because I’m going to be working for you, I’m not going to have time to go play golf. Believe me."
In reality, Trump has visited one of his golf properties almost once a week since he was sworn into office, earning a profit from government costs every single time.

If you plan on mailing your completed ballot, today is the last day you should mail it, based on Postal Service recommendations.
If you cannot mail your ballot today — if, for instance, you've not yet received it — you probably can drop it in an official drop box, if they're allowed in your state, or you can either take it to your polling place on election day or just vote in person on election day.
You should check with your county's election office about drop box locations and procedures for dropping off ballots at your polling place on election day. If you don't already have contact information for your county election office, you can find that
here.

Early last week and the weekend that preceded it, Donald Trump was telling scores of people, and members of the media, that the
Wall Street Journal would break a huge story which would doom Joe Biden's candidacy right before last Thursday night's debate.
But Thursday came and went with no bombshell story. As reporting in the
New York Times yesterday reveals (link
here), there will be no bombshell because no scandal exists.
White House personnel and Trump surrogates tried to feed the story of an alleged scandal to a
Journal reporter. That journalist in turn involved coworkers in digging and found the reality was nothing like what the Trump team was trying to allege.
The Trumpian claim was that the former Vice President had greased the wheels diplomatically so that his son would profit financially by doing so, sharing some of the financial gains with his father.
The reporters, however, discovered that the story was bogus. The only thing they ended up reporting was how the pro-Trump fringe media was pushing the story but that it had no merit.
"Corporate records reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show no role for Joe Biden," the paper reported.
The great irony to all this is that while Trump and his intermediaries were trying to fabricate a scandal that the former Vice President had profited from his position, Trump himself has made millions profiting from his position as President.
What he has done in reality is far worse than the fake scandal he tried to create about Joe Biden.
Project much Donny?

On Friday,
Bloomberg Media published an interesting article (link
here) about the potential legal jeopardy Donald Trump will face once he leaves office. The piece is focused on what will happen if Trump is gone in a few months after losing the 2020 election.
The writer clearly believes he's more likely to face state criminal charges than federal criminal charges. What he doesn't mention is that the feds might take a wait and see approach to pursuing Trump — waiting to see if he's prosecuted on state charges and whether he's convicted.
Arguably, if he's convicted on state charges, then pursuing federal charges might ignite less of a powderkeg. Being found guilty of one or more crimes will not endear him more to most people, except for his die-hard fans.
That aside, he's also facing a mountain of civil litigation that he's somewhat successfully delayed. Once he leaves office, however, he no longer has the protection of the presidency nor can he used the Justice Department to defend him.
The potential for criminal prosecution, I would argue, is Trump's greatest motivation for wanting to be reelected. While he's in office, the Justice Department won't pursue him.
That protection is gone if he's defeated. While the issue of state criminal charges of a President has never been addressed by a federal court, state prosecutors too might realize it's more advantageous to wait until he's out of office.
Trump arguably will at least try to preemptively pardon himself and his family for any possible federal charges. That would work for his children, although causing a political stink, but there's considerable legal scholarship that he cannot pardon himself.
All the more reason to hurry him out of office by defeating him on November third. Let's get this show on the road and see what happens.

The production values here are only fair, given that it's shot entirely with hand-held by both the top and the bottom. The top is the massive beast William Seed who fucks the absolute daylights out of the bottom, who in turn comes multiple times and seems close to fainting much of the time.

Yesterday afternoon, the
New York Times dropped another one of their articles (link
here) about Donald Trump's unseen tax returns, which he never released to the public despite years of promises that he would do so.
In what should not be a surprise, the article clearly demonstrates that Trump is not at all generous with charities, despite repeated claims that he is. Nearly all of his tax write-offs have been in the form of property easements, meaning he never actually gives anything to any charity but simply agrees not to fully develop tracts of land that he still holds.
In another instance, he gave undeveloped land to the state of New York because he could not obtain approval to develop it. On his taxes, however, he wrote off a value seventeen times what he paid for the land notwithstanding it could not be developed and thus had little actual value.
Several of these schemes are now under investigation for possible criminal prosecution because the land value appears to have been wildly inflated well beyond actual value to enlarge the size of his tax writeoffs.
The biggest cash gift that he ever gave was to his own charity, which was later forced by prosecutors to close because it had engaged in self dealing and fraud.
Trump has also claimed to have given large gifts which he never made. In other words, he outright lied.
He said, for instance, he had given the profits from one of his books to a veterans charity. He never actually gave them a single dollar.
Some have speculated that Trump ran for office so that he could not be prosecuted for various crimes. But by becoming President, he may have inadvertently turned a much brighter spotlight on his own financial history, thus priming himself for prosecution once he leaves office.

I've written mostly about the presidential election here, but that's not the only important race on the ballot. If Donald Trump loses but Republicans retain control of the Senate, we'll probably see gridlock worsen in Washington.
In addition to a blue White House, it's essential that both houses of Congress go blue, too. The House of Representatives almost certainly will stay in Democratic hands, but the Senate is still up in the air.
There are thirty five Senate seats in contention this year. Some of these will easily be retained by each party. But the Republicans are more vulnerable this time, defending many seats that are considered toss-up and a few even leaning blue. In contrast, Democrats really only have one or possibly two vulnerable seats.
In some of the races where Republicans are vulnerable, the Democratic candidate is very well funded, which makes for a very tight race. But a few races where Republicans are vulnerable, and the Democratic candidate is holding strong in the polls, are under funded.
If you're able to donate to Democratic Senate candidates this year, here are four races where your dollar will go the farthest:
Steve Bullock in Montana. A popular governor, Steve is running neck-and-neck with the current incumbent, a major Trump enabler. Donation dollars go far in Montana because of relatively cheap TV advertising costs; there are no large markets. Click
here to donate for his campaign.
Theresa Greenfield in Iowa. Terry has a successful business background and is also running even with the sitting GOP Senator, who is a major Trump enabler. Iowa is another state with a relatively cheap advertising market. Click
here to donate for her campaign.
Alan Gross in Alaska. Al is an orthopedic surgeon and successful organizer of several statewide ballot measures. He also is running neck-and-neck with the sitting GOP incumbent. Alaska is one of the cheapest media markets in the country so donation dollars go far. Click
here to donate for his campaign.
Raphael Warnock in Georgia. The senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Martin Luther King's church, Raphael is a civil rights leader and successfully directed a major voter registration initiative throughout the south. This is one of the tightest races in the country and against a Trump-enabling Republican plagued by multiple scandals. Click
here to donate for his campaign.

President Obama did something rarely witnessed yesterday: a former President harshly criticized a sitting President in public (details
here).
Althrough Donald Trump has repeatedly said vicious and flat-out lies about President Obama, the latter has remained silent out of respect for the tradition that former Presidents do not critique sitting Presidents.
But the time has come to step past that.
"I get this president wants full credit for the economy he inherited and zero blame for the pandemic he ignored," Obama said with his trademark gift for turning a phrase. "But you know what? The job doesn’t work that way. Tweeting at the television doesn’t fix things. Making stuff up doesn’t make people’s lives better. You’ve got to have a plan."
Trump, truly, generally has no plan and usually stumbles around at a loss for what to do.
"I never thought Donald Trump would embrace my vision or continue my polices, but I did hope for the sake of the country, that he might show some interest in taking the job seriously," Obama said. "But it hasn’t happened. He hasn’t showed any interest in doing the work or helping anybody but himself and his friends."
Hard truths at a time when they're most needed.
