Trump has given every sign he will withdraw the United States from the agreement, placing it alongside Syria, another country that rejected the pact.
Environmentalists and major corporations have strongly supported the pact. The government of nearly every country on earth, including even North Korea, see it as an urgent necessity.
And 70 percent of Americans, including a majority of Republicans, support the Paris accord and agree that the United States should continue to be a signatory (details here).
Heavy polluters and their powerful lobbyists in Washington are pushing to exit the deal. They want to spew as much filth in the air as possible, the future of humanity be damned.
The night he was elected, Trump promised: "I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I'm reaching out to you for your guidance and your help" (source here).
Seventy percent of those Americans have said we must continue to support the Paris agreement. You couldn't get any better guidance and help than that.
Will Trump keep his election night promise? Or was that just another lie?
