The Lost Month

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an excellent article (link here) that provides a detail overview about why the United States' coronavirus testing capabilities lags much of the rest of the world.

The ultimate reason is a failure of leadership at the top, in the Oval Office. This is what happens when a country elects an untested candidate who has never held public office and who has scant management skills and experience. The problem is further compounded when that person is corrupt, emotionally unstable, and intellectually shallow.

Will there ever be a way to measure how many people ultimately will have died who might have lived if this country had a capable, visionary national leader? I hope so. Because that death toll is a badge of shame that Donald Trump should bear for all of recorded history.
