Collusion of a Different Kind

On Friday, the political magazine Mother Jones broke the story (link here) that the National Rifle Association (NRA) illegally and secretly coordinated advertising for three Senate candidates -- two of whom won their races.

Last month, the magazine broke the story that Donald Trump's campaign was also illegally and secretly coordinating with the NRA (details here). And, of course, a number of media outlets have extensively reported on the now indicted Russian spy who was secretly conspiring with and funding the NRA (details here).

What an incestuous pot of soup this is -- Trump, Russia, spies, Republicans, illegality, and crimes all mixed up in one cauldron. Because there are now so many scandals involving Trump, the NRA mess has received less attention than it should. Why is it that so many Russian spies intersected with various people in the Trump campaign?

Given the Russian spy has already been indicted, one has to expect that more indictments will be coming sometime soon in this matter. Considering that Russia was giving money to the NRA and that the NRA was illegally helping four Republican candidates, including Trump, one has to expect that at least one person will be indicted for accepting illegal foreign donations to political candidates.
