Imaginary Friends

MSNBC published a great piece on Friday (link here) about how Donald Trump regularly cites imaginary conversations he has had as "proof" of some point he's trying to make.

Although the article doesn't note as such, this is classic fabulist behavior -- made-up friends, made-up conversations, made-up experiences. If you've ever known a habitual liar, they always do this.

That Trump is a habitual liar is no surprise. What is surprising is how his supporters steadfastly continue to believe his lies. These people are hopelessly naive, but all America is paying the price for their ignorance.
