Fuck the Law

CNN broke the story yesterday (link here) that Donald Trump told the Customs and Border Protection Commissioner that his agents should defy the law and unlawfully prevent migrants from entering the country. If the Commissioner was prosecuted and imprisoned for his actions, Trump said he would then pardon him or her.

This is a shocking revelation. Trump is sanctioning illegal activity and a complete flaunting of the law. Break the law, he's telling you, and he'll make the consequences go away. Fuck the law, according to him.

This is the sort of action that cries out for impeachment. No other President has ordered government employees to break the law in exchange for a pardon. And you can imagine how Republicans would have reacted if a Democratic President proposed something like this that would target so-called red states.
