Healing

President-elect Joe Biden will be sworn into office three weeks from Wednesday. One major issue he will face early in his first term is how to heal the nation after Donald Trump's horrifically destructive presidency.

To that end, veteran journalist James Fallows wrote a superb article in the January 2021 issue of The Atlantic (link here) that provides a template for one way that may be done.

Buffeted by the daily outrages of Trump's many scandals, hateful actions, gross incompetence, contemptable remarks, and overt corruption, neither the media nor we in the public have really had clear picture of all the damage he has wrecked on the American government, reputation, and tradition.

While addressing matters like the pandemic, the deteriorating economy, and the effect both have had on the American public will obviously be the highest priority, pursuing Trump and repairing his extensive damage must still be high priorities.
