A Catalog of Horrors

The editors and writers at McSweeney's magazine have compiled and just updated an excellent and highly detailed article/online resource (link here), titled "Lest we forget the horrors: A catalog of Trump’s worst cruelties, collusions, corruptions, and crimes," that counts 842 items to date.

Here are a few of those 842 chosen at random:

January 18, 2018: Donald Trump's "Department of Health and Human Service opened the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division, which had the stated goal of protecting doctors who cited religious objections against providing their patients with medical care." That means, for instance, an emergency room doctor could refuse to treat you if you were LGBT and Trump is okay with that.

February 27, 2018: Trump's "Department of Housing and Urban Development planned to spend $31,000 on a dining set for Ben Carson’s office, plus another $165,000 for lounge furniture in their Washington office. The spending came after Trump cut HUD’s annual funding by $6.8 billion."

March 1, 2018: "The FBI announced it was investigating a Russian oligarch, Alexander Torshin, for funneling money through the National Rifle Association to Trump’s campaign. Torshin, who is the deputy governor of the Bank of Russia, carries close interpersonal ties to the Kremlin."

August 21, 2019: Trump's "Department of Homeland Security introduced an updated policy that would allow the government to detain migrant families with children indefinitely" in internment camps. When asked about the policy, Trump replied, “very much I have the children on my mind. It bothers me very greatly." To date, he has done nothing about the children, who remain detained in internment camps.

February 7, 2020: "Within 48 hours of the Senate acquitting the President, Trump fired European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman after they testified in the President’s impeachment trial."

Each of the 842 cataloged items features a link or links to further information.

This thoroughly comprehensive list is a great link to send to anyone you know who still thinks Trump should be reelected.
