Revealing

On Monday, HBO began airing a 35-minute interview with Donald Trump conducted by Jonathan Swan at Axios. The full interview, for those masochists amongst us, can be found here for free.

The most revealing moment in the deeply disturbing interview was when Trump tangled with Swan about which statistics provide the most accurate picture of the coronavirus crisis.

Swan correctly said the most accurate measure of a country's response to Covid-19 was a proportion of the population — the per capita rate.

"You can’t do that!" Trump stammered in outraged reply.

That right there shows why Trump is a horrible administrator and deeply unfit to be a head of state. He refuses to consider the most accurate picture of something. The true picture.

He just wants to talk about numbers that make him look good. Governing, in his mind, is not about serving the people but, instead, serving himself.

He is clueless about how to be an effective President. And he must be removed from office by losing badly in the election on November 3.
