Unbelievable

Late yesterday, the Huffington Post broke the story (link here) that Donald Trump is now attending intelligence briefings less than once a week. All recent Presidents attended such briefings nearly every day, even when traveling or on vacation, or the read the daily briefing report, which Trump almost never does.

Daily briefings are when a President gets an early heads up about all sorts of problems, foreign and domestic, that may cause problems for the United States and its people. Several times early this year, the growing threat from the emerging coronavirus pandemic was detailed in the briefings, but of course Trump didn't read those.

And as the pandemic continues to roil the world, and other threats loom on the horizon, Trump is oblivious to the threats if he's not being briefed.

Intelligence briefings are one of the most important parts of a President's job. But instead of doing that, Trump is busy binge watching daytime TV and trolling people on Twitter.

This alone is good reason not to reelect Trump in November. He's putting the country in grave danger. Every single day.
